We took a deep breath and jumped, taking a good look at OUR FRIENDS who are artists, writers, designers, photographers, filmmakers, musicians, cooks, activists and WHO SHARE OUR LOVE for great ideas, warm gatherings, good design, beautiful music, texts that make you wonder, art works never to forget, nice food, slow time, new discoveries, fun, a better world,… and THAT BECAME OUR AIM, to go back to basics and to share all this through what we do.

Who we are

Kathleen Weyts was responsible for the marketing, communications and public relations at M HKA, the Antwerp Museum for Contemporary Art, for eight years. She was educated in communications, art history and intercultural management. She gained experience at, among others, International Arts Centre Vooruit, the Provincial Museum of Modern Art Ostend (PMMK), the Museum of Fine Arts Ghent, Van Dyck 1999. For BOZAR, Center of Fine Arts Brussels she made the exhibitions Imagine Europe, In Search of New Narratives (2016) and Somewhere in Between, Contemporary Art Scenes in Europe (2018) and is preparing and coordinating the Europe, Europe and Renaissance project for 2019. She is the general coordinator of Contemporary Art Heritage Flanders (CAHF), a collaborative platform for the Flemish musea for contemporary art M HKA, Mu.ZEE, SMAK, Middelheim and Museum M and works as a consultant for several cultural institutions. She is member of the board of Sint Lucas, School of Arts Antwerp and the independent curatorial collective Komplot.

Liesbet Waegemans has more than ten years experience in communication and press relations. She graduated in Roman Philology (French/Italian) and Cultural Studies, after which she started working for organizations such as the multidisciplinary festivals Zomer van Antwerpen and Kunstenfestival 0090, and the Brussels dance company SOIT/Hans Van den Broeck. At Antwerpen Kunstenstad, she was responsible for the press and communication of the opening festival of Museum aan de Stroom (MAS) in Antwerp. She was a Belgian correspondent for the Italian contemporary art magazine Exibart and is part of the General Assembly of Kosmonaut Production, an alternative management and production office for artists in Antwerp.
